Intermediate Conducting is a lab course in which the students will build upon or refine the skills they have. The course is designed for the student who is new at directing a barbershop chorus and/or in need of building their basic skills of conducting to move to the next level of performance.

To be admitted to the Intermediate Conducting Level, you must exceed the Level Four (Excellent) Rubric in all skills. When you send your video(s) to the conducting faculty via Don Campbell, you will be evaluated by this Basic Conducting Rubric. The rubric is also designed inform you of the skills needed for progressing to the Intermediate Level so you can be sure to include all the skills into your rehearsal/performance videos. We need to see evidence that you can demonstrate these skills to progress to the next level.
