This course covers alot of ground for directors at the entry level, assistant directors and music team leaders. We will explore how to analyze the capacity of your chorus (range and agility of singers, music reading and ear training skills and general performance ability). We will then turn to how to program repertoire, rehearsals and performances to best meet the developmental level of your group- with an eye towards enjoyment in the experience and improvement through the process. This class dovetails nicely with Performance Techniques - Intro, by Cy Wood and Rehearsal Techniques, by Joe Cerutti.
